A survey conducted by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP)  found that almost one person in five has consulted a counsellor or psychotherapist, while almost half the population know someone who has.

What to expect from Counselling

Louise Smith Counselling

You're not alone

During your sessions, you will be encouraged to look at your feelings and emotions. By working together you can understanding your feelings, behaviours and thought processes.

Our first session will allow us to meet and have a chat about what you might like from our sessions and look at what issues you are facing. You may not know what you want from counselling but know you want to feel better. Sessions will be at your pace and we will look at what you're experiencing in a caring environment.

How can Therapy help?

Therapy allows a person to look at their problems and feelings in a genuine, accepting and non-judgmental environment.

Is something in your life not quite the way you would like it to be at the moment? This may be something you're going through right now or something you have experienced in your past. If so, it may be useful for you to talk about how you feel with a trained professional who is not a friend, colleague or family member.
